Mansinthe Absinthe is the official Absinthe of the artist Marilyn Manson. Tastewise, the Absinthe is rather traditional, i.e. it has a natural green color and convinces with a balanced, not too strong herbal composition. The anise content is kept low, so that the Absinthe is also suitable for those Absintheurs who prefer the taste of aniseed rather subtly. The Mansinthe label is decorated with an original work of art by the musician and painter. Overall, Mansinthe is a must-have Absinthe for Marilyn Manson fans.

Mansinthe by Marilyn Manson

Marilyn Manson was intensely involved in the development of Mansinthe. It was the result of a two years process. One of the makers of the Absinthe, Mr. Lion, once said in an interview: "Manson was intensely involved in the development, constantly tasting the samples, giving his opinion and providing suggestions for changes. When he was completely satisfied with a prototype, the final implementation was swift." The final Absinthe was then presented in one of his art exhibitions in Germany. Brian Hugh Warner, the artist's real name, communicated the launch at Galerie Schenk in Cologne, on 27th June 2007.

Mansinthe is not a classic branded absinthe, but an artistically driven project that combines traditional Swiss Absinthe craftsmanship with a distinctive style.

Production in Switzerland stands for precise distillation and high quality standards. This origin clearly shapes the clear, structured character of the Absinthe.

Mansinthe moves between tradition and modernity: a classic herbal base, but a deliberately complex flavor profile without extreme spiciness and too much anise.

Mansinthe is intense, yet controlled. It has a complex and multifaceted quality, without the raw strength or harshness of particularly aggressive Absinthes.

Mansinthe is suitable for connoisseurs seeking individuality and depth, not for beginners and not for collectors of historical bottlings.

Frequently Asked Questions General

Absinthe is a traditional herbal spirit whose characteristic taste is primarily derived from wormwood, anise, and fennel. It originated in the border region between Switzerland and France and became widely known in the 19th century.

Absinthe is traditionally diluted with ice-cold water, which is slowly dripped into the glass – often over a sugar cube. This preparation allows the aromas to unfold and creates the typical "louche" effect, where the spirit becomes milky and cloudy.

The high alcohol content serves as a carrier for the subtle herbal aromas and preserves them. Absinthe is therefore not intended for pure consumption, but is traditionally drunk diluted with water.

Absinthe is a traditional herbal spirit, whose characteristic taste is mainly due to wormwood, anise, and fennel. It originated in the border region between Switzerland and France and gained widespread recognition in the 19th century.

For the classic preparation, an Absinthe glass, an Absinthe spoon for the sugar cube, and a carafe or fountain with ice-cold water are used. These tools allow for slow dilution and ensure a balanced taste experience.
