Did the tap on your absinthe fountain break? No problem – with this replacement tap, your fountain will be ready to use again in no time. The tap fits all our absinthe fountains (Petite, Boule, Boule Green Line, Chat IV).

To attach it, insert the tap and screw it in tightly. Hold the screw in place with your fingers at the end. This compresses the silicone ring, creating a reliable seal. The tap will then be securely in place, and the fountain will be ready to use again.

How an absinthe fountain works

Our video shows how to prepare absinthe using an absinthe fountain. This ritual is particularly impressive, as the absinthe mixes very slowly with water, becoming exceptionally cloudy.

Frequently Asked Questions about the
Product

Yes, the replacement tap fits all our Absinthe fountains (Petite, Boule, Boule Green Line, Chat IV).

Installation is very simple: First, unscrew the old tap from the fountain and insert the new one. To secure it, turn the tap while holding the screw at the back end in place. This compresses the silicone ring, which reliably seals the connection. The tap is then firmly in place, and the fountain is ready to use again.

Frequently Asked Questions
General

For the traditional ritual, three basics are usually sufficient: an Absinthe glass, an Absinthe spoon, and ice-cold water (e.g., from a carafe). Sugar cubes are optional. Those who prepare Absinthe more frequently or serve multiple people often use a fountain or a brouilleur for particularly even dripping.

An Absinthe glass is shaped to better highlight the aroma and mixing ratio. Many classic models (e.g., Pontarlier glasses) support the typical dilution with water and ensure that the louche effect develops beautifully and controllably – something that often appears less "harmonious" in a simple tumbler.

The Absinthe spoon is placed over the glass to hold a sugar cube while water slowly drips over it. "The right one" primarily depends on the glass size and style: It is important that it rests steadily and offers enough surface area for the water to flow through evenly.

Carafe: simple, flexible, ideal for beginners Brouilleur: controlled drip directly onto the glass, very classic Fountain: perfect for quiet, even dripping and when several glasses are to be prepared one after another (or simultaneously) – often the "ritual upgrade."

For glasses: clean gently, especially with delicate shapes or decorations – ideally with mild dish soap and a soft cloth. Spoons (depending on material/finish) should be stored dry to maintain their surface and shine. For delicate or coated items, hand washing is usually the safest option.
